Dear Parents & Carers.
We hope you are all well and gearing up for Christmas, whatever that may hold. I am sure some of our little ones will have told you that we have been doing many festive related arts and crafts in the nursery over the last few weeks and we can’t wait for you to see the children’s great work.
Christmas Opening Hours
As mentioned in my recent email, it has been a very tough year for all our staff and we would like to reward them with a few extra days holiday over the Christmas period. So, we will be closing at 6 pm on Wednesday, 23rd December and full details of our opening hours are listed below:
Thursday, 24 December: Closed
Friday, 25 December: Closed
Monday, 28 December: Closed
We will be re-opening at 7.30 am on Tuesday, 29th December and closing at 6 pm on Wednesday, 30th December at 6 pm.
Thursday, 31 December: Closed
Friday, 1st January: Closed.
We will re-open again at 7.30 am on Monday, 4th January 2021.
If you wish to have a day in lieu of any of these non-bank holiday closing dates, please let me know.
Our children’s Christmas party will be taking place on Tuesday, 22nd December. We would love for all of our children to be in nursery on that day. So, if your child isn’t normally in on a Tuesday and you’d like to swap your day, please email me or advise a member of staff.
Campion Gardens Carol Singing
The residents at Campion Gardens have missed the visits from the Pebbles children during the pandemic. So, we will be having outdoor carol singing under the canopy to the back entrance to the nursery when the children will sing songs for the elderly residents (who will all be wrapped up snug and warm for this special occasion).
Christmas Holiday Club
We are now taking bookings for holiday club during the Christmas break. To book a place call us today on 01792 235320 as spaces are limited. Get more details and prices here http://pebbles-daynursery.com/prices-and-packages/
Safety Measures at Pebbles Day Nursery
The safety measures we have had in place since the first lockdown remain in place for the foreseeable future. They include limiting the number of visitors to the nursery, frequent and thorough hand hygiene by staff and children and additional cleaning processes across all areas of the nursery.
Parents and carers (and visitors to the nursery) will need to continue ensure physical distancing at all times and wear a mask if entering the building.
Should anyone (employee, parent or child), display symptoms of COVID-19, they should not come into work or attend the childcare setting, They will need to start a period of self-isolation and arrange a test.
If a child receiving childcare becomes symptomatic whilst at the nursery, the child will be cared for away from other children and a parent or carer will be called for immediately to collect the child and take him or her home.
Welsh Government Funding
Welsh Government has confirmed that the 30 hours free childcare offer for 3 and 4 year olds has been reinstated from Sept 2020. Get full details on the Welsh Government website: www./gov.wales/childcare-offer-wales-reopen.
We’d be very grateful if our parents and carers could leave a review about the nursery on our Google Listing (just search for Pebbles Day Nursery and click on the reviews on the listing on right of the page) or our Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/PebblesDayNurserySwansea/
If you have any queries or questions about your child’s time at Pebbles Day Care, please don’t hesitate to ask a member of staff. You can also view our full parents and carers handbook on our website (at the bottom of the About Us page).
